What do you do when a medical test for employment includes a HIV test? What do you do when your employer asks you to undergo a HIV test? Does your employer have the right to do that? In employment forms, are you obligated to reveal your HIV status? These and related questions are a representation of the workplaces that we are at every day. HIV- related conversations are more common but has the stigma really gone away? Are we really treated fairly regardless of our real or perceived HIV status? Copyright is a legal right that authors, publishers and other producers of information-related materials have to protect their work from unauthorized reproduction (Lesman, 1995). It is argued that it originated from the industrial revolution in Europe. Kenya stood still as the much anticipated Inaugural Preidential Debate kicked off. There was confusion earlier on in the day when a court injunction had halted the debate pending the petition by seasoned lawyer,Paul Muite on the exclusion of he and Mohammoud Dida. It was ruled that they should be included. Organisers must have been flustered on hearing this as accommodating two more candidates would change things logistically. They managed to pull two podiums from the Brookhouse school to accommodate them but it was evident that they were never planned for from the beginning. The debate began with struts along the catwalk as the candidates exuberated confidence and bravado as they walked to the the podiums where they would address and estimated 14 million viewers. The opening exchange was rather tame and the only talking point was Muite's eyebags(rumoured to be enough to build tents for a good number of local IDP's) and Uhuru Kenyatta's posh accent. Freedom of expression should be absolute, or as absolute as absolute can be under democracies. This begs the question then, what is democracy? Instead of thinking up a wise and unique and awe striking definition that will be quoted for generations to come i will give you my definition of democracy. It is the minorities and the poor voting in the rich and elitist and sidelining the able and spirited to the periphery called the opposition and ruing their choices till the next electoral period where they repeat the cycle.  The notion that countries like North Korea,China,Taiwan and Japan are democracies surely show how skewered our thinking but mostly perception is. Today as I’m blogging I’m really happy. Everything at this point seems to be going perfectly well. Times like these are rare so I take them as they come! I spent the whole day watching good wife and just chilling out plus I spent time with my lovely Cathy. Today I’m really bleak on what I’m going to talk about but when has not knowing anything ever stopped me before! I think I’ve gotten it, today I’ll talk about happiness.
